William P. Willis, President
Bill Willis is the President and CEO of Willis Consulting, Inc. Mr. Willis founded the company in 2000 after 25 successful years in the securities industry. Prior to founding Willis Consulting, Mr. Willis served 5 years with Merrill Lynch as a Vice President, Resident Manager in Los Angeles. Before Merrill Lynch, Mr. Willis managed the Los Angeles complex for Sutro and Company. Mr. Willis has also managed offices for Prudential Securities in Albuquerque, Tucson, and San Antonio. Bill lives in Palos Verdes, CA with his wife and their two sons.
Patrick M. Kelly, Managing Director
Patrick Kelly is the Managing Director of Willis Consulting, Inc. Mr. Kelly joined Willis Consulting in May of 2002 as a researcher. In September of 2002, Mr. Kelly was appointed Managing Director, Research. In September of 2003, Mr. Kelly was appointed Managing Director of Willis Consulting, Inc. Mr. Kelly has over 9 years of experience in the securities industry and has served as a Vice President, Investments for Roth Capital Partners in Newport Beach, CA. Prior to Roth Capital Partners; Mr. Kelly served as an Institutional Salesman for The Seidler Companies in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Kelly spent 2 years in the United States Army prior to joining the securities industry. Patrick currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife and three children.
Steven Fletcher, Rest in Peace
Steven Fletcher, aka Fletch / Brosey, was a regional director in Los Angeles. Mr. Fletcher began his career in the financial services industry in 1981 as a Regional Manager for Lord Abbett & Co. In the 1990’s he managed the Western Division for the same firm. Steve then became a financial advisor for UBS. Thereafter he directed sales on the west coast for W.P. Carey. Steven also served on several boards of philanthropic organizations in Los Angeles.
Mitch Melbon, Regional Director
Mitch Melbon is a regional director with Willis Consulting. Mitch brings 15 years of financial sales experience to the firm. He spent 6 years with Roth Capital Partners in Newport Beach, CA as a financial consultant. Most recently, Mitch spent 6 years in capital equipment financing with CalFirst in Irvine, CA. Mitch is single and lives with his son Noah in Orange County, CA.
David Garr, Regional Director
David Garr is a regional director at Willis Consulting. Mr. Garr brings 18 years of financial services experience to the firm. He began his career in 1989 with HSBC where he spent 16 years progressing through various sales and executive leadership roles throughout the U.S. In 2006, he joined AHL where he served as Regional Vice President, overseeing branch office operations in the western states. Dave currently resides in Scottsdale Arizona with his wife and four sons.
Doug Carlson, Regional Director
Doug Carlson brings over 30 years of financial services experience to the firm. He graduated from UCLA with a BS in Biochemistry. Doug resides in Palos Verdes Estates, CA with his wife Lori. They have two daughters, both attending college.
Cary Merola, Regional Director
Cary Merola is a Regional Director for Willis Consulting, Inc. Mr. Merola joined Willis Consulting in November of 2003 and manages the mid western part of the United States. Mr. Merola currently has two research executives working under his guidance. Mr. Merola has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and has served as both a financial advisor as well as a Branch Manager for Merrill Lynch in Grand Junction, Colorado. Most recently, Mr. Merola was in charge of the Citibank Investment Services Account on a national basis. Cary currently lives in Grand Junction Colorado with his daughter.
Francis J. Madden, Regional Director
Madden has 20 years of functional experience in the securities industry and has been an executive recruiter for a similar length of time. While in the investment business, he was a senior officer at White, Weld & Co. and Drexel, Burnham where he was responsible for branch office management, institutional sales and equity trading. As a recruiter with Russell Reynolds Associates and Ward Howell in New York and Los Angeles, he specialized in the recruitment of financial professionals nationally. In 1995, he formed F. J. Madden Co in Newport Beach, California. We are pleased that our firms have recently consolidated and that Skip will represent us from White Stone, Virginia.
Babette Kelly, Candidate Sourcing Coordinator
Babette Kelly serves as the Candidate Sourcing Coordinator for Willis-Consulting. She brings fifteen years of Human Resource Management skills to the firm. Her career began as an educator and counselor and progressed to the management level at Coast Community College District where she served as the software implementation coordinator for the District Human Resources and as Manager of Employee Services and Records. Babette currently resides in Newport Beach, California with her husband.
Matt Stevens – Research
Matt Stevens joined the research department of Willis Consulting in the first quarter of 2006. Matt brings 5 years of sales and marketing experience to the firm. Prior to running his own recruiting firm, Matt spent 3 years with a major IT staffing company. Matt also manages a minor league baseball scouting service. Matt is single and currently lives in Scottsdale, Arizona.
