Merrill Adds Ten Big Producers – UBS Picks from Merrill – Wells Adds 24 Since August

OnWallStreet.com announced this week that Merrill Lynch has hired 10 financial advisors from rival wirehouse firms who managed a total of $1.07 billion in assets and had $7.7 million in fees and commissions.

The majority of those hires, which were completed in the past several weeks, come from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, representing six of the new hires. Merrill Lynch also hired a three-member advisor team from UBS and one advisor from Wells Fargo to round out the 10 additions to its force.

Last week, UBS Wealth Management Americas snagged a Merrill Lynch team with more than $1 billion in client assets under management, a follow-up to a recent hire of another trio of advisors from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

And Wells Fargo has extended its summer hiring spree with 24 new financial advisor hires since late August managing a total of $2.2 billion in assets.
