Career history: Dervla graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, Advertising and Marketing from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, in 2007. As a junior in college she completed a yearlong internship from Aug ‘05 – Aug ‘06 as a Business Tourism Assistant for Tourism Ireland, based in New York City.
Following the completion of her degree she worked as a Marketing Assistant for the Irish Dairy Board in Dublin, Ireland from Aug ‘07 – Oct ‘08. The company relocated her to California where she served as a Sales and Marketing Assistant and was responsible for the Southern California region from Oct ‘08 – July ‘10. Looking for a career change, Dervla brought her sales and marketing experience to our Los Angeles team in March, 2011.
Additional Information: Dervla has a keen interest in all sports but is particularly passionate about Camogie; a women’s hurling game, native to her Irish homeland. In addition, she was also competitive in Tag Rugby, Swimming and Gaelic Football.
Since moving to the USA, Dervla has returned to Ireland to spend time with her family and aims to make these trips more regularly so she doesn’t lose her distinctive Irish brogue!
