Decisions will depend on information that’s there and how well these service sites rank in search results.
Your Information in Financial Advisor Directories
Obviously, advisors are not going to want or need to join all these sites, but they need to be aware of what potential clients may find and be able to manage that, and that should include having the ability to present their own case on their behalf.
As for investors, there will probably be a “comfort zone” in being able to access a database where information is pre-vetted for accuracy and where they can see how an advisor charges fees, or whether or not they have had compliance issues.
